Student Government Holds First Meeting In Fall 2018
The Student Government Association at UT-Tyler held its first meeting Wednesday. Here are some of the meeting's highlights.

-Talon Student Media is rebranding to Patriot Student Media Productions. Editor-in-Chief said will "revamp" newspaper, intro podcast and continue TV broadcasts. Editor's new focus is on reporting accuracy. /1 #SGAUTT

-VP of Communications' new focus is SGA's social media presence. Said accounts have now received noticeable increase engagement.
-Next week, SGA will vote on new changes to SGAC policy.

-The purchase of rock climbing equipment for a senator project from last year will come out of this year's budget, SGA's advisor said. -SGA unanimously ordered the Student Affairs Committee to write a resolution to place each building's acronym over its entry doors throughout campus, some said in an effort to reduce confusion. The body did not say when it will take up this resolution. /7 #SGAUTT
